SEIBU, Malaysia’s First Luxury Japanese Department Store Opens Its Door at The Exchange TRX

A new era of shopping has dawned in Malaysia with the grand opening of SEIBU, the country’s first luxury Japanese department store. The grand opening ceremony, held on November 29th, graced by His Excellency Takahashi Katsuhiko, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, along with a host of esteemed dignitaries and industry leaders. The event commenced with a rousing performance of traditional Japanese Wadaiko drums, followed by the symbolic ‘Kagami-Biraki’ sake ceremony, signifying a new and prosperous chapter for SEIBU.

Situated strategically at The Exchange TRX mall, SEIBU boosts an expansive 265,000 square feet and span four levels, housing over 700 luxury, international, and contemporary brands, including over 100 brands making their exclusive debut in the Malaysian market, such as Fred, Damiani, Niessing, and Pierre Hardy.
