Not all vitamins and supplements are as healthy as they claim to be. Many multi-vitamins, individual supplements and protein products today, whether in capsule, tablet, chewable, liquid or powder form, consistently contain more than 50 percent fillers, which are manmade chemicals added to products and contain zero nutritional value. These damaging fillers include artificial colors, hydrogenated oils, lead, mercury, PCBs, Magnesium Silicate, and Titanium Dioxide.

Studies have shown these fillers can cause a variety of medical and cognitive issues for those who consume them including cancers, cognitive disabilities and even death.

Vitamins, which are meant to help the body, can cause significant harm, and the industry refuses to change. Vitamins and supplements are a billion dollar industry for the companies that produce them. Fillers serve several negative purposes. Designed to bind chewable products from falling apart while all add imitation flavorings to mask the raw taste of the vitamins. Some fillers like tartrazine, also known as FD&C Yellow #5 or E102, give vitamins their color. Tartrazine, and many other artificial colorings, are made from coal tar and have been linked to asthma, migraines, thyroid cancer, anxiety, clinical depression, blurred vision, purple spots on the skin, and unexplainable itchy skin.

One of the most damaging fillers is sodium benzoate, which is a widely used food preservative used to make vitamins have a longer shelf-life. But sodiumbenzoate combined with vitamin C forms benzene, a cancer-causing chemical associated with leukemia and other blood cancers. Parkinson’s,neurodegenerative diseases, and premature aging have all been attributed to this infamous preservative. Fillers labeled natural additive” include shellac and carmine. Shellac is used in gummies and chewable to give it that shiny surface but it’s also utilized to give furniture and guitars a special shine, hardly a substance that should be consumed. It is derived from the excretions of the kerria lacca insect, most commonly found in the forests of Thailand.

Carmine can also be identified on food labels as crimson lake, cochineal, natural red 4, C.I. 75470 or E120. This filler is made from ground-up cochineal insects, which is really just mashed red beetles. A number of manufacturers have resorted to labeling it not as carmine, but instead as “natural color,” thereby guaranteeing that most consumers will really never know if they are eating these insects.

“We understand that there are companies who offer a volume of samples to help people become comfortable with their products but it has nothing to do with their health, but rather everything to do with how they like the taste in either their chewable or liquid form,”  says Greg Race, CEO of Vita4Life.

“Simply put, they want people to feel better about the taste rather than whether or not it is doing any good for their customers’ health.” All forms of marketing / advertising specifically directs their ads towards everything along this line.  They all leave one item out – this product is not expected to help you in anyway.

“In contrast Vita4Life vitamins, which contain zero fillers, binders and colors, and are 100 percent vitamins, with the most up to date compounds are helping to improve health,” adds Race. “Health care professionals for years have trusted and relied upon our family of products with every confidence, knowing clients are receiving quality supplements.”

Along with renewing and strengthening the immune system, the supplement formula also protects and stimulates the body’s natural reactions for lasting performance, vitality and health. The encapsulated supplement formulas are safe for those with common food allergies and is guaranteed to be free of any filler ingredients or artificial additives.
