Ah Malaysia, we all know the sun has always been unbearable in our country. With this weather, it is important to wear a pair of good sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Recently Pamper.my was invited to check out Safilo’s Spring/Summer 2016 most stylish and coolest range of designer eyewear at Sky Lounge at Binjai 8 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, including brands like Carrera, Dior, Fossil, Fendi, Gucci, Givenchy, and so on.

With this in mind, we have chosen five statement sunglasses that have caught our eye on the Safilo’s Spring/Summer 2016 preview, in no particular order.

The EyeColor Sunglasses by Fendi

The EyeColor sunglasses are defined by geometric lines and skinny volumes, celebrating the FENDI modern elegance and femininity.  The cut-out design defines a new graphic interpretation of the “frame within a frame” concept, creating stunning contrasts between the round lenses and the cat-eye metal shape, subtly underlined by lacquered colour touches.

See-through effects enhanced by the iconic triangular details and the thin metal temples emphasize the lightweight architecture.

VERY DIOR 1N by Dior

The “VeryDior1N” sunglasses from the 2016 Cruise fashion show are square-shaped, their geometric temples adorned with the emblematic “Cannage” motif. The “Sienna” acetate frame is enhanced with metallic details around the lenses and on the ends of the temples.

CARRERA 113/S by Carrera

An iconic reinvented pilot frame is the core of the new Carrera signature collection. This featherlight lasercut frame in stainless steel is complemented with a matte finish, matching the heritage with the contemporary.

FOS 2029/S by Fossil

With its trend-setting design keyhole double bridge, this pair is one of the most iconic styles to ever shade the sun. The glasses offer stylized arrow-shaped temples, reminiscent of the Fossil diamond logo.

GV 0007 and GV 7006 by Givenchy

Refined and elegant, with a studded touch: these sunglasses and optical frame feature metal studs on the top profile of the front and the temples, subtly visible on the defined yet faceted volumes.
