In celebration of the theatrical release of “Alice Through the Looking Glass”, Disney collaborates with homegrown fashion designer, AMBERSZE and fashion school, ESMOD Kuala Lumpur to create a special collection inspired by the whimsical fantasy of the film and bring the story to life through fashion. The collection will be on display in a #ThroughTheLookingGlass Fashion Inspired Exhibition at The Gardens Mall from July 11 to 20, 2016.

The #ThroughTheLookingGlass Inspired Collection features ten avant-garde pieces, each inspired by the setting of the fantasy-adventure movie, and its five iconic movie characters in four different themes – Alice arrives in Wonderland, Mad as Hatter, Two Queens of Wonderland, and The Castle of Time. Every single piece of the collection is meticulously handmade using materials ranging from Thai silk, brocade, bridal satin, crinoline and taffeta to silk organza. Organza is the key fabric material used in the collection to showcase the concept of “through the looking glass” inspired by the movie. The collection showcases the finest haute couture influences from AMBERSZE and ESMOD Kuala Lumpur with a touch of feminine sophistication.

The fashion collection has made its debut through a fashion show at the “Alice Through the Looking Glass” Girls Night Out Special Movie Screening on June 30, 2016, held at GSC Signature at The Gardens Mall. Disney’s global partners for the movie, Urban Decay and OPI showcased their limited edition “Alice Through the Looking Glass” collections.

The movie “Alice Through the Looking Glass”, presented in Digital 3DTM and IMAX® 3D will release in Malaysian cinemas starting on July 6, 2016.
