G-SHOCK, the iconic shock-resistant watch brand, is turning 40! To celebrate this milestone, G-SHOCK is embarking on a pop-up tour across Southeast Asia, with the final stop in Kuala Lumpur from October 23rd to 29th, 2023.
The pop-up tour is themed “Rooted in Toughness” and will showcase the G-SHOCK 40th Anniversary collections, including the Clear Remix series, Remaster Black series, Recrystallized series, Adventurer’s Stone series, Flare Red series, and the highly-anticipated G-SHOCK x Eric Haze collaboration watch.
Visitors to the pop-up event will embark on an immersive journey back in time with G-SHOCK, witnessing the brand’s remarkable evolution of toughness. From the creation of the pioneering G-SHOCK DW-5600C in 1983 to its current iconic status, exemplifying both durability and innovation, visitors will have the unique opportunity to witness the brand’s incredible transformation.
The pop-up event will also feature portraits of several artists from the renowned music collective, 88rising, including Rich Brian, Warren Hue, Spence Lee, Dumbfounded, Ylona Garcia, Milli, Atarashii Gakko!, Niki, and Stephanie Poetri. These artist portraits artfully convey the essence of G-SHOCK’s legacy, highlighting the artists’ origins and the image of modern toughness. The collaboration with 88rising has also resulted in a record-breaking feat for featuring the highest number of 88rising artists in a brand campaign.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase exclusive G-SHOCK x 88rising limited-edition t-shirts.
