Hugh Hefner, the iconic founder of Playboy magazine and E!’s reality show The Girls Next Door, passed away of natural causes at age 91.

Born on April 9, 1926 in Chicago, Hefner quickly shot to fame with the first issue of Playboy magazine launched in December 1953 with Marilyn Monroe on the cover.

To be on the cover of Playboy magazine was a great honour in the world of showbiz, with all Playmates chosen personally by Hefner. With this news being quite a hot topic, we thought this is a best time to talk about some of the most iconic Playboy magazine covers featuring celebrities.
