A new chapter in G-SHOCK design brings classic toughness into a refined analog form, unveiled at the TOUGHNESS REFINED Pop-Up in Kuala Lumpur.
Toughness meets a more refined aesthetic at the G-SHOCK TOUGHNESS REFINED Pop-Up, which took over Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 21 to 25 October 2026. Beyond showcasing the brand’s latest releases, the event offered a preview of the highly anticipated G-SHOCK 2500 Series ahead of its Malaysian launch.

For watch enthusiasts, it was an opportunity to get a closer look at how the iconic timepiece maker continues to evolve its signature rugged design.
Introducing the G-SHOCK 2500 Series

At the heart of the showcase was the new G-SHOCK 2500 Series, featuring the GMC-2500 and GAC-2500. Inspired by the functional beauty of the original DW-5000C, the first G-SHOCK launched in 1983, the new collection brings the brand’s distinctive design language into an analog format.
The result is a fresh take on the classic G-SHOCK silhouette. Softer, more rounded contours give the case a refined appearance, while the sharply defined dial and indexes maintain clear readability. Subtle curves also create an interplay of light and shadow, adding depth to the overall design.
But the appeal goes beyond aesthetics.
Smarter Timekeeping, Built for Everyday Use
One of the standout features is the new Multi-Mission Date display. Located at the three o’clock position, its three-cell window provides different information depending on the function in use, including the date, elapsed minutes for the stopwatch and setting information.
The watch also features a fully automatic calendar. Once the year, month and day are set, it automatically manages date changes, removing the need for manual date correction.
Another practical detail is the small seconds hand at nine o’clock. It can be stopped when not needed and restarted whenever required. This sleep function helps reduce power consumption and extend battery life.
Together, these features bring added functionality to an analog watch while keeping the display straightforward and easy to read.
Metal or Resin? Choose Your Style
The collection offers different looks to suit different preferences. The GMC-2500 range features metal construction, with options spanning black, blue and silver dials, alongside a gold-accented model. For a more casual, sporty look, the GAC-2500 comes with a resin band and colourways in black, green, white and yellow.
Whether paired with everyday outfits or weekend looks, the collection balances G-SHOCK’s tough-watch identity with a cleaner, more contemporary finish.
More G-SHOCK Releases to Explore

The 2500 Series was not the only highlight at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur pop-up. Visitors could also discover recent releases from the Luxe Black, G-STEEL and Metal Cover Series, offering a broader look at the brand’s evolving design direction.
As a special launch promotion, customers who purchased watches at the pop-up, including pre-orders for the new 2500 Series, received a limited-edition G-SHOCK stand watch holder, while stocks lasted.
G-SHOCK 2500 Series Malaysia Launch Date and Price
The G-SHOCK 2500 Series will arrive in Malaysia on 7 November 2026, with prices ranging from RM579 to RM1,449. Pre-orders are available, with the collection set to be sold at G-SHOCK stores, authorised retailers and through the official G-SHOCK Malaysia website.
For those who appreciate a watch that combines everyday practicality with a strong design identity, the new 2500 Series offers another way to wear G-SHOCK’s enduring toughness—with a more refined analog edge.
