There are so many ways to style short hair, don’t feel like you’re limited just because you don’t have that length. In fact, we’d like to think there’s more versatility with a shorter do AND it’s lower maintenance. WIN!

We hope these few looks will inspire you to take control of your shorter tresses and own it. We’ve all been guilty of losing inspiration when it comes to our hair, but with the new year upon us – let’s make every day a great day. Even down to how we project ourselves and look after ourselves.

Here are a few uber chic hairstyles

Hairband Glam

Style your hair forward and if you have bangs, push this in front. Use styling product to keep your hair tame and staying put, and also to provide a bit of texture. Add your hairband for that added oomph!

Sleek Comb Back

Blow dry your hair towards the back with a brush – maintain a little bit of volume (or a lot) depending on how high you want to style your hair. This look looks best when it’s sleek and straight, so go over any kinks with a straightening iron. Use styling product to keep your hair in a hold and to reduce flyaway or frizz.

Half Up, Half Down

How easy is this look and what a difference it makes. A small change that goes a long way. When you struggle with your bob and it starts to misbehave, just take half of it into a loose bun and let the sides fall down to frame your face.

Twister

How about rather than just a basic half up, half down look, you take about one-niche wisps from the sides of your hair and twist them, leaving the ends loose. Bring this to the back of your head and secure into place with bobby pins. Voila! Especially handy when your sides are slightly rebellious.

Front Braids

Pull your hair from the top two sides after you’ve created a centre part, braid them along your hair line and secure at the back of your hair with a clip. There’s a bit of a bohemian vibe to this and I imagine it’ll look perfect with a maxi dress or dreamy flowy gown.

Low Ponytail and Side Part

Stuck for some ideas? What about pulling your bob into a low pony tail at the nape of your neck and to add a bit of a chic-effect, pull it into a dramatic side part. Sleek and perfect for any occasion!

Here you go ladies and we hope you find this inspirational! Whenever you think you miss your longer locks and can’t style your hair any other way, think again and be creative!
