Well known for its fresh designs, great quality and accessible prices, Sfera, the popular Spanish fast fashion brand is finally coming to Kuala Lumpur! Sfera takes on a bold approach following four major trends for Spring/Summer 2017 while retaining a minimalistic identity.
Sfera belongs to the El Corte Ingles group, the same Madrid-based company behind one of Europe’s biggest department store chains. The fashion company has more than 270 establishments around the globe, including a strong presence in Europe, Mexico; and other locations include Thailand and The Philippines.
“We are excited for the arrival of Sfera as the brand has something for everyone, clothes, shoes and accessories for the ladies, men, kids and babies,” says Michael Chan, Senior General Manager of Parkson Trends Sdn Bhd.
The latest women collection are inspired by four major trends:
1.The A-Temporal focus plays a bigger role
The pieces are based on a concept, a story or even a seduction factor without needing to be tied to a specific trend or encapsulated in a month, year or day. The non-trend concept, the fashion essentials and everyday basics that can be elevated are more present than ever in this collection.
2.The love of historic references. The past to create the future
Artistic movements like the Renaissance, the Baroque era and the Victorian age laid the foundations for creating a very romantic and feminine theme for Spring/Summer 2017. It incorporates boudoir items in long dresses, made of silk chiffon and sheer lace and Tudor-style details are added in sleeves and ruffles. The brand also integrates the latest pantones of pinks and beige to create a dramatic contrast, floral upholstery prints, oversize garden flowers and paisley prints to represent the true meaning of spring.
3.The sporty and relaxed Athleisure style with a feminine touch
All time practical and relaxed clothing that defines the new sporty style is merged with modern trends this season to give the collection a futuristic-chic lookbook. The collection sees mixtures of bright colours; energetic shades of purple, blue and yellow and the use of sheer and light materials cut in generous proportions. Details like cords, zips and classic stripe prints too will stand out.
4.Significant emphasis on structure
The minimalist trend evolves towards sombre shapes that emphasise the structure. Pale colours and white, made with light materials that can be worn from head to toe is key to create Zen-inspired, elegant, discreet and sensual looks. Sfera achieves the modern aesthetic with minimalist polka dot, shaded check and thin Oxford stripes. The 80s trend also inspires the collection structure. Structured lines and excessive volume that normally accentuate the shoulders are given a new focus on the waist and hips. Tailoring and asymmetry emphasize a solid feminine shape, while corseting, cut-outs and shoulder pads support a firm attitude.
Sfera Man Spring-Summer 2017
Sfera for the men features trendy basics for the urban trendsetter. Offering the latest spring theme of WHITE CITY, NATURE and SMART, the collection is inspired by the intense aged urban landscape of the Carribean. The summer 2017 men is a combination of MARINE PARTY and FRESH SAND, presenting the retro sailor versus the tropics.
Sfera will be opening its first store at MyTOWN Shopping Centre Kuala Lumpur in the coming months, exclusively brought to you by Parkson. The store is 6,349 sq ft and is located on the Ground Floor, Parkson MyTOWN.
