Raya shopping has evolved far beyond browsing racks and scrolling catalogues. At Shopee House: Bazar Gaya Raya, held at The Yard, Sentul Depot, the festive ritual was reimagined as a content-driven experience — one where livestreams, styling inspiration and creator storytelling shape how Malaysians discover what to wear for the season.

Bringing together brands, affiliates and digital creators, Shopee presented a glimpse into how modern festive shopping now begins with a screen. According to Shopee Malaysia’s Director of Revenue & New Business, Opal Wu, shoppers increasingly rely on short videos, livestreams and creator recommendations before committing to purchases — a shift that blends entertainment with commerce. The numbers echo the behaviour: billions of views across Shopee Live and Shopee Video last year translated into a significant surge in orders for sellers who embraced content.

The offline showcase mirrored that digital energy. A fashion show spotlighted Shopee-exclusive Raya collections from beloved local labels including Siti Khadijah, Naelofar, Bulan Bintang and Adnaa, while ambassadors Mimi Fly and Hael Husaini offered styling inspiration through a curated Raya Fashion Lookbook. Beyond fashion, Shopee also expanded into storytelling entertainment through micro-drama streaming collaborations, turning the platform into both marketplace and media channel.

At its heart, the initiative champions accessibility — enabling small businesses to grow while giving shoppers confidence through discovery, reviews and real-time demonstrations.
