Singapore Tourism Board (STB) unveils a new initiative, SingaporeJunior, to encourage travel for families with children

As part of the SingaporeJunior initiative, STB will release a 7-episode web series starting from August 19, address specific needs of the family travellers with information ranging from educational attractions, fun-filled activities, packing tips and many other tips on travelling with children. The series will be hosted by Arissa Afrina, 8, and Amelia Lee, 9, two young bubbly children who embody the sense of wonder and excitement of travelling from the children’s perspective.

In addition, STB is also piloting a SingaporeJunior pre-school education programme starting with 50 pre- schools in Klang Valley and East Malaysia. Through an engaging story-telling approach, the programme aims to showcase enriching learning experiences that children can discover while travelling to Singapore. Pre-schoolers at these selected schools will have a first-hand experience learning about various animals from the Singapore Zoo and enjoyed an up-close encounter with River Safari Singapore’s new animal icon, Canola the Manatee.
