From outdoor adventures to everyday family journeys, Swedish lifestyle brand Thule is making every journey count. At Thule Expo 2026, held at JioSpace Petaling Jaya on 30 October, we got an up-close look at the brand’s expansive product universe, with an exciting showcase of travel, mobility and outdoor essentials. The evening’s biggest highlight? The introduction of Thule’s latest car seat collection, bringing a fresh perspective to family travel and child safety.
Bringing together approximately 180 guests, including Asia Pacific distributors, business partners and members of the media, the exclusive event was more than just a product showcase. It offered an immersive look at how Thule continues to evolve its offering for people who want to embrace an active lifestyle without compromising on convenience, comfort or safety.
Beyond the Road: Exploring Thule’s Active Lifestyle Universe
Founded in Sweden in 1942, Thule has grown from its roots in vehicle racks into a globally recognised name in premium travel and active lifestyle products. Its philosophy of helping people bring along what matters most was evident throughout the expo.
The displays were organised around four key product pillars: transporting outdoor gear, everyday essentials, children and pets. Each category reflected Thule’s signature combination of thoughtful engineering, functional design and practical versatility.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Sport & Cargo range took centre stage with an impressive selection of vehicle accessories. From aerodynamic roof rack systems such as the Thule WingBar Evo to the versatile Thule Caprock platform, the collection caters to everything from weekend road trips to more adventurous escapes. There were also roof boxes, cargo baskets, bike carriers, kayak and canoe mounts, as well as ski and snowboard carriers. For those dreaming of sleeping under the stars, Thule’s rooftop tent offerings added another dimension to the outdoor experience.

The brand’s travel and everyday carry collection was equally compelling. Designed for different journeys and lifestyles, the range spans premium luggage, durable duffel bags, everyday backpacks and specialised travel organisers. Collections such as Thule Aion, Thule Chasm, Thule Paramount and Thule Subterra demonstrate how practical storage solutions can meet the demands of modern travel, work and adventure.

Families with an appetite for the outdoors had plenty to discover, too. Thule’s Juvenile Products range showcased its commitment to making outdoor experiences more accessible for parents and children. From all-terrain strollers and multi-sport bike trailers to child bike seats and hiking carriers, the collection encourages families to take their little ones along for the ride.
Rounding out the showcase were Thule’s Pet & RV offerings. These include crash-tested vehicle pet crates such as the Thule Allax, dog travel accessories, bike trailers and specialised solutions for van life and recreational vehicles. It was a reminder that adventure does not have to be limited to two-legged travellers.
The Main Attraction: Meet Thule’s New Car Seat Collection
While the expo offered plenty to explore, the spotlight undoubtedly belonged to Thule’s latest child-related innovations and car seat collection.
Moving beyond static product displays, the event featured a live demonstration led by Product Manager Ahmad, offering guests a closer look at how the new car seats integrate into Thule’s wider family mobility ecosystem. One particularly interesting highlight was the seamless transition between car seats and compatible Thule stroller systems, demonstrating how everyday journeys can become more convenient for modern parents.
The collection introduces three key models: Thule Maple, Thule Elm and Thule Palm, each designed to cater to different stages of a child’s development.
Thule Maple is an advanced infant car seat created for newborns and young babies. Combining enhanced safety features with reclinable comfort, it is designed to work seamlessly with compatible Thule strollers, making transitions between car journeys and strolling more convenient.
Thule Elm takes things a step further for growing toddlers. This premium 360-degree rotating car seat features extended rear-facing capabilities and multiple recline positions. Its rotating design is intended to make everyday routines easier while accommodating children as they grow.
Completing the trio is Thule Palm, an i-Size high-back booster seat built around the philosophy that comfort equals safety. Its intuitive belt routing and ISOFIX stability offer practical support, while its design is optimised to allow up to three seats across the back row of a wide range of vehicles.
Together, the three models create a considered seating solution that follows children through different stages of their early years, placing comfort, convenience and safety at the heart of family mobility.
A Closer Look at What’s Next for Family Travel
Beyond the main presentation, guests were invited to explore the dedicated Active with Kids experiential zone. Featuring the new car seat collection, display podiums, colour swatches and complementary family travel accessories, the space offered an opportunity to get hands-on with the latest designs and discover the details behind each product.
What stood out from Thule Expo 2026 was the brand’s ability to bring together an extensive range of products under one cohesive lifestyle vision. Whether it is packing for a long-haul holiday, loading up for a weekend outdoor escape or navigating everyday family routines, Thule continues to find ways to make the journey more seamless.
And with the introduction of Maple, Elm and Palm, the brand is placing an even greater emphasis on the needs of growing families. After all, the best adventures are not just about where we go, but also about making sure everyone gets there safely and comfortably.
