Live Demonstration by Italian Master Craftsman

Salvatore Ferragamo, the Italian luxury brand  held “The Art of Shoemaking”, a “live” demonstration and showcase of how Ferragamo shoes are made at the brand’s duplex boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The event showcased the live shoe making process by its master craftsman from Florence, Italy.

More than 150 guests graced the evening; among them were Dr Andrea Ambra, Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Commission and top Malaysian actresses, Scha Alyahya and Jojo Goh, both dressed in Salvatore Ferragamo Fall/Winter 2015 collection. Siti Saleha, Bella Dally, Keith Foo and Carey Ng, well-known local personalities, also attended the private showcase. 

Both Scha Alyahya and Jojo Goh had the privilege to experience the shoemaking process up close, with the master craftsman revealing the secrets behind the making of Ferragamo’s most iconic Varina and Carla shoes.

A public exhibition was held on Level 3, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from the 29th to 31st of July. “The Art of Shoemaking” was an eye-opening experience for many, and a chance for them to appreciate the creative tradition of Salvatore Ferragamo, the great innovator who revolutionized women’s shoes with innovative designs, technology and materials.
