Fred Perry Celebrates Record Store Day 2018 With Rad Activities This April

We hope you’re ready for Record Store Day (RSD) this year because Fred Perry is going all out with a month-long rad activities to keep you entertained. A yearly event first introduced in 2007, Record Store Day is hosted on one Saturday in April to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store.

Fred Perry will be giving out limited edition Fred Perry RSD tote bags for free when you shop at selected record shops and Fred Perry Authentic Shops. Each tote bag is designed by international illustrators including Malaysian graphic designer, Valen Lim, alongside Hideyasu Moto (Japan), John Whettingsteel (United Kingdom) and Ella Tay (Singapore).

You can also be in the running to win an audio-technica turntable, Fred Perry X-miniTM speaker & cash vouchers. All you have to do is spend RM100 in a single receipt at participating record stores to get a scratch card to participate. Be sure to try your luck at Edy J Records, Hard Graft Records, Sonic Rage, Tandang Store and Teenage Head Records as well as Suria KLCC, Pavilion KL, 1Utama and Gurney Paragon Mall (Fred Perry Authentic Shops) before the contest ends on April 30th.

The celebration doesn’t end there. Fred Perry will be hosting two nights of pre-RSD music takeovers on April 18th and 19th at www.sgcommunityradio.com. A partnership with champions of music and creative culture – Singapore Community Radio, these online gigs are a nod to the brand’s unique place at the heart of subcultures and music for decades. Stay tuned to win new vinyl releases by Albert Hammond Jr. & AWOLNATION, courtesy of Red Bull Records while you’re on that.
