This nationwide call invites girls aged 13 to 23 of all nationalities to take their shot at joining KLP48, the Kuala Lumpur-based sister group of AKB48. As KLP48 celebrates a remarkable year since its debut, its impact has already reached beyond borders—with appearances and invitations in Japan, the birthplace of its iconic legacy.

AKB48, officially recognised by the Guinness World Records as the Largest Pop Group in the World, has redefined the idol scene over the past 20 years. KLP48 is their tenth overseas sister group, following the likes of JKT48, BNK48, MNL48, and AKB48 Team TP—and now, they’re ready to welcome a new wave of talent through this historic second-generation audition.
Here’s How to Audition:
- Application Period: 1 July – 1 August 2025
- Submit Online: Upload a 90-second video of singing and/or dancing at klp48audition.com along with your details.
- Eligibility: Females aged 13 to 23 (Parental consent required if under 18)
- On-Site Screening: 23–24 August 2025, Kuala Lumpur
- Final Audition: 6–7 September 2025
Selected candidates will undergo on-site assessments in Kuala Lumpur before moving on to the final round, where dreams may become reality.
