Gigi Hadid, one of the most promising young models in the industry currently. The Sports Illustrated bombshell, who has walked the runway for Victoria Secret, Versace, Guess, Moschino, and more, just turned the big 2-1 recently.
While many people are concerned with her fashion style
and high profile relationships, we have been wondering about her amazing figure and sculpted abs. Scrolling through Gigi’s Instagram feed you can see that she has a very active lifestyle because she does a lot of boxing.
That being said, we did some sleuthing for interviews she has done previously in regards of her healthy lifestyle.
*Before we talk about Gigi’s diet and workout routine, we would like to begin with a disclaimer. We are not doctors or registered dietitian, following Gigi Hadid’s lifestyle will not give you her supermodel body. This is just what she does and believes in.*
Now that you have acknowledged and agreed to the disclaimer, let’s talk about eating healthy and exercising.
Gigi told E!, “I have always said, eat clean to stay fit, have a burger to stay sane.”
She certainly takes her own advice. Gigi further mentioned that she ate 52 burgers in a year (a new burger every week) to try to find her favorite when she newly moved to New York.
Gigi have always been an athlete her whole life. She grew up playing volleyball and horseback riding. Now she does boxing every day.
“Boxing has been great for me because it’s like my new sport, and it’s something that I can get better at,” Gigi said in an interview with Vogue as she showed the magazine some of her favorite moves, including the jab and uppercut.
Speaking of her athletic past, during an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Gigi said that she “grew up with huge thighs and still eats like a man.”
Gigi explained, “My thighs were huge, they were like rock! Growing up I was really athletic and I had a very athletic body. I had like crazy muscles and I [ate] like a man – more than the man that I eat like now, like a bigger man – and it was crazy but at the time I didn’t care what my body looked like, I just wanted to be the best volleyball player I could be so it didn’t really matter to me.”
Gigi refuses to starve herself all in the name of her modeling career. She doesn’t deprive herself of her favourite foods instead embracing her womanly figure. However never been smooth sailing for anyone. Believe it or not Gigi gets fat slammed before. The 21-year-old supermodel took an articulate approach to slams fat-shaming troll on Instagram.
“Yes, I have boobs, I have abs, I have a butt, I have thighs, but I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m fitting into the same sample sizes. Your mean comments don’t make me want to change my body, they don’t make me want to say no to the designers that ask me to be in their shows, and they definitely don’t change the designers opinions of me,” Gigi posted on her Instagram.
Overall, she knows that at the end of the day, maintain a balance is still a major key to be healthy and fit.
Gigi shared, “I can eat healthy when I want to and I can work out every single day and I can have the body for a certain runway show if I need to but that doesn’t mean that I’m doing it in an unhealthy way.”
She continued, “You need to find things that are still a healthy way of doing it and for some jobs that’s just the best way to do it unless you start six months in advance… I personally would rather do the Master Cleanse for ten days than just eat salad for six months.”
All hail Queen Gi.
