Approximately 30,000 Malaysians will get together on this 22 July 2018 for World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine to lend a helping hand to children living in poverty and to learn about the issues impacting them.

This year, World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine campaign aims to raise RM2.6million to combat food insecurity and malnutrition issues in Malaysia, India, Lesotho, and Myanmar. Funds collected will also be channelled to World Vision Malaysia’s community development work in Sabah, Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled, Dignity for Children Foundation, Good Shepherd Services, Fugee School, Yayasan Sin Chew and Dual Blessing.

The mega fund raiser will culminate in a Countdown event on Sunday, 22 July 2018 at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam. Of the 30,000, an estimated 15,000 participants are expected to be present at the Countdown. World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine Ambassador G.E.M. will officially launch the annual fundraising and advocacy event and present for the Countdown.
