After months of stiff competition, Malaysia Supermodel Search (MSS) 2015 came to a finale yesterday with Wil Beh Khai Sheng and Nurfashikin Gomez took the title of this year’s winners of the male and female categories, respectively. The 1st runner up went to Mika Aaron Jenewin and Ong Cyii Cheng. All these four winners are from same state, Selangor.
The grand finale, which was held at the main stage of Paradigm Mall yesterday evening, showcased the final performances of the ten finalists who were surviving through a series of extensive challenges, from catwalk, photo shoots, styling, acting to grooming.
Three of the finalists, Ong Cyii Cheng, Ooi Jin Hoon and Wil Beh Khai Sheng were also competing for the Best Talent Award by performing their singing or dancing talents, respectively, on the stage of the grand finale. Ooi Jin Hoon (Jin) has wowed the crowd with his superb dancing skills and succeeded to win the Best Talent Award. Jin was also named as the 2nd runner up of MSS 2015 for the male category, together with Fish Zhang, the only finalist from China, for the female category.

At the showdown, the top ten finalists had to prove their runway worth in a battle of different catwalk styles to complement the apparels of local designers Hayden Koh, SUSS by Bremen Wong, Andy Bandy, Commodity, When Our Eyes Meet, Eevin, Zakwin Anuar and Jimmy Lim.
The final performances of the ten finalists were judged by the panel of judges namely, the International Model Ms. Amber Chia, Catwalk Guru Mr. Benjamin Toong, Mr. Phoster Sageh, Datuk Seri Jessy Lai, Mr. Maxim Othman, Mr. Vu Khae Tiep and Ms. Ky Han.
The winners of each category walked away with modeling contracts from the reputable modeling companies in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, magazine featuring, millinery and beauty products, electronic products, and cash prizes.
Running in its fifth year, the MSS 2015 kicked off middle this year via live auditions in both Peninsular and East Malaysia, from which ten female and ten male models were selected to battle it out on a reality program on YouTube. The program which consists 8 webisodes gained over 6,000 views since it was aired beginning September 9, 2015.
