L’OCCITANE Gives Children A Gift of Brighter Future By Funding Eye Care Projects

In conjunction with World Sight Day 2021, L’Occitane Malaysia under their annual philanthropy efforts, aims to raise a total of RM100,000 (together with RM50,000 co-funded by L’Occitane Foundation) through the sale of the Care For Sight Kit to support eye care projects for children in collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur and College of Ophthalmologists.

The project aims to help up to 8,000 beneficiaries by funding comprehensive eye screening for underprivileged children within Klang Valley and donation of spectacles with refractive errors. Children who require further treatment and follow-up will also be treated by the Department of Ophthalmology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

The Caring For Sight Charity Kit contains L’Occitane’s signature body and face care products including Shea Hand Cream (10ml), Almond Showe Oil (35ml) and Aqua Reotier Water Gel Cleanser for Face (40ml). The kit comes in a limited-edition Caring For Sight cotton zip pouch designed by the winner of its virtual Caring For Sight Design Competition, Prisca Misyel Wewengkang, which featuring the design of a boy appreciating the beautiful view of night sky. It conveys the message that we should not take our eyesight for granted, even to enjoy the simple things in life.

The Caring For Sight Charity Kit is priced at RM68 and available from now till December 31 at all L’Occitane Malaysia boutiques nationwide, online at experienceloccitane.com and my.loccitane.com. 100% of the proceed from the sale of the charity kit will be donated to the Caring For Sight project committed by the Department of Ophthalmology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur and College of Ophthalmologists.
