Shokz OpenFit Pro Arrives in Malaysia with Smarter Open-Ear Audio and Everyday Noise Control

(l-r) Deric Seah, Director for Shokz Malaysia, and Lyndon Chen, APAC Sales Manager, Shokz, unveiled Shokz’s newest flagship, the OpenFit Pro.

Open-ear earbuds have always promised a different kind of listening — one that keeps you aware of your surroundings while staying connected to your audio.

With the launch of the OpenFit Pro in Kuala Lumpur on 13 May 2026, Shokz is refining that idea further, introducing a model that blends awareness, comfort and more controlled sound performance for everyday use.

It arrives at a time when audio devices are no longer just for music or calls, but part of how people move through work, fitness and daily routines.

(l-r) Adam Lobo; Dr. Say Shazril; Timothy Tiah, Hunny Madu; Deric Seah, Director for Shokz Malaysia, Lyndon Chen, APAC Sales Manager, Shokz celebrated the official launch of Shokz OpenFit Pro in Malaysia, introducing the brand’s flagship product.

A New Take on Open-Ear Listening

Shokz is best known for its open-ear approach to audio, and the OpenFit Pro builds on that foundation with a more advanced setup.

The earbuds feature a synchronised dual-diaphragm driver system along with built-in noise reduction — a combination designed to improve clarity while still keeping the open-ear listening experience intact.

Users can switch between a more immersive mode or a more open awareness mode depending on where they are and what they are doing.

Sound That Feels More Balanced and Flexible

The OpenFit Pro is powered by Shokz SuperBoost™ technology, delivering clearer sound detail and stronger bass performance compared to earlier models.

Support for Dolby Atmos with head tracking adds a spatial element to listening, making audio feel more layered and directional.

Through the Shokz app, users can also adjust EQ settings, allowing for more personalised sound preferences rather than a fixed audio profile.

The focus here is flexibility — not just louder or stronger sound, but sound that adapts.

Noise Reduction for Open-Ear Design

One of the more notable updates in the OpenFit Pro is the introduction of open-ear noise reduction.

Using a triple-microphone system and an ear-adaptive algorithm, the earbuds can detect and respond to surrounding noise in real time. This helps improve focus in busier environments such as offices, cafés or public spaces.

At the same time, users can still maintain situational awareness when needed, which is one of the main advantages of open-ear designs.

It is a balance between staying tuned in and staying aware.

Guests tested and experienced the comfort and premium open-ear audio of the Shokz OpenFit Pro during the official launch event.

Built for Long Hours of Wear

Comfort continues to be a key part of the design.

Each earbud weighs 12.3g and uses a flexible nickel-titanium earhook paired with soft silicone for a more secure yet lightweight fit. The design is intended for long wear without the pressure often associated with in-ear buds.

Battery performance also supports all-day usage, with up to 12 hours of listening time and up to 50 hours with the charging case. A 10-minute quick charge provides up to 4 hours of playback, while wireless charging adds convenience.

Other practical features include:

  • IP55 water resistance
  • Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity
  • Multipoint device pairing
  • Wear detection
  • Physical waterproof controls

Designed for Workouts, Commutes and Workdays

The OpenFit Pro was introduced alongside a launch event that included a panel discussion with tech reviewers, fitness professionals and content creators, reflecting how audio now sits across multiple parts of daily life.

Whether it’s staying aware during a run, taking calls during work hours or listening while commuting, the focus is on usability across different environments rather than a single use case.

(l-r) Adam Lobo, CEO of Adam Lobo Media Group PLT; Dr. Say Shazril, Medical Doctor and Influencer; Timothy Tiah, Creator and CEO of Colony; and Hunny Madu, TV Host, Singer, Rapper and Content Creator, shared insights on how open-ear listening is shaping modern lifestyles by enabling users to stay aware, connected, and productive across work, fitness, and daily life, reflecting the growing demand for more balanced audio experiences.

Shokz has also expanded its retail presence with a mono store at IOI City Mall, where customers can try the full range, including the OpenFit Pro, OpenRun, OpenComm and OpenFit. The store allows users to experience the open-ear concept firsthand before deciding on the right fit for their lifestyle.
