11 Malaysian Hotels Won Gold Awards in Hotels.com Loved by Guests Awards 2017

Eleven hotels in Malaysia have been voted by the hotel guests as the country’s ultimate hotel hotspots based on the results of Hotels.com™ Loved by Guests Awards 2017. The 11 best hotels in Malaysia this year are located in Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Sandakan. Penang tops the list, with four gold winners, followed by Langkawi (three) and Kuala Lumpur (two).

The glamorous Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, with rooms commanding spectacular views of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, is Kuala Lumpur’s highest-rated hotel amongst Hotels.com customers. Campbell House, a heritage boutique hotel located in the faithfully preserved Georgetown UNESCO Heritage Site, is Penang’s top rated hotel. The Datai, the Danna and Ambong Ambong are tied as Langkawi’s best rated hotels.

Three Malaysian hotels are listed as amongst the best hotels in their respective categories. The Pangkor Laut Resort, set amidst the lush hills in the secluded corner of the Pangkor Island, is one of the best in the family category.

The Andaman, perched between a 10-million-year old tropical rainforest and an 8,000-year-old fringing coral reef, is named among the best in the beach category.

Penang’s well-loved Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, which features a unique Minangkabau architecture and traditional sculptures, is named one of the best in the spa category.
