Malaysia Makes a Splash with COLDCHELLA – The Nation’s First Ice Bath & Music Festival by BABEL

Malaysia just hosted its chilliest, most vibrant wellness event yet — COLDCHELLA by BABEL, the country’s first-ever music and ice bath festival, blending full-sensory wellness, rooftop vibes, and icy recovery into one unforgettable day.

Held at Babel TTDI, the festival featured a record-breaking 200,000-liter communal ice bath, pumped with 100 tonnes of ice — the largest ever in Malaysia. Guests took the plunge, then partied on with live DJ sets against skyline sunsets, making wellness anything but boring.

But COLDCHELLA was more than just an icy plunge — it was a full-on sensory escape into wellness, play, and indulgence. Guests explored an entire wellness playground — with infrared saunas, mini pickleball, scent therapy, medical screenings, and beauty bars. Top it off with treats from Kenny Hills Bakers, Licky Chan, Joloko, and sips from Heineken, Perrier-Jouët, and Tap Tap.

Behind the concept is Boon Tan, founder of BABEL, who’s reshaping wellness into a lifestyle that’s personal, social, and data-driven. COLDCHELLA also celebrated the launch of BABEL’s new Under-30 Membership, making holistic health more accessible to Malaysia’s next generation of changemakers.

With its fusion of music, movement, ice, and intention, COLDCHELLA proves that wellness can be bold, beautiful — and ice-cold.
