Team USA’s star swimmer Michael Phelps is bringing along a custom made pair of Under Armour’s new training shoe, the Architech, to the Rio Olympics 2016.

Phelps’ footwear features a personal touch to provide an additional source of motivation as he heads into competition. The patriotic red, white, and blue look features a nod Phelps’ 3-month old son, Boomer Phelps with a small footprint logo on the medial side as a personal reminder that Boomer is with him every step and stroke of the way.

The UA Architech is the company’s first ever 3D-printed performance trainer that features a functional 3D printed midsole and 3D ClutchFit auxetic upper design that creates a “super-hybrid” trainer.
