It’s Finally Happening! Comme Des Garçons Is Coming Up With An Online Brand

The cult of Comme, your prayers have been heard. Chief executive officer of Japanese fashion house Comme des Garçons, Adrian Joffe, has announced an expansion in the label’s business plan – a brand new online brand slated for July 2018 release.

“Nobody knows yet, but what I can tell you is it’s going to be internet-based,” he said. Despite the hush-hush statement, Joffe did say that the website will be designed by his wife slash business partner Rei Kawakubo which will soon followed by the opening of six shops nationwide.

The big reveal, which was made at the launch of China’s first Dover Street Market, also hinted at the line to come: a simple range for both men and women. This online range marks the 18th brand for the company that’s known to carry lines like Homme, Play, Plus and more.
