Bernard Chandran Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection Brings Modern Royal Inspired Regalia To Paris Fashion Week A/W 2017-Pamper.my

Bernard Chandran Autumn/Winter 2017 collection was showcased in full modern royal regalia during Paris Fashion Week A/W 2017, where the influential royal couturier introduced new silhouettes and new cut techniques melded in the rich metal embellishments, hand-worked embroidery and gem beadworks.

Playing an important role in modernizing traditional fashions of the Far East into luxurious contemporary sensibilities, Chandran, also renowned for his works with the aristocrats and royal families of the Eastern world resourcefully curated a fusion of materials from metal sequins and ‘Songket’, a type of royal brocade to specially commissioned prints in the collection and play of leather.

The style allows easy movements; the silhouette seems structured but comes alive with every turn. The 80’s high-waisted influence on the pants with short and long landing and skirts in similar cut gave an overall aerodynamic lift to the looks.

New necklines, voluminous sleeves, long coats in brocade and fur and 3-D bustier bring about interesting cameos in Bernard Chandran Autumn/Winter 2017 collection.
