What if your toothbrush could actually see where you’re missing? Dyson is transforming everyday toothcare with the new Dyson CameraJet, an intelligent toothbrush designed to tackle one of the most overlooked areas of oral care: the gaps between your teeth.
Unveiled in Paris, the Dyson CameraJet combines a 100,000-pixel macro camera, machine learning, precision fluid dynamics and sonic brushing technology to create a completely new approach to cleaning. Its camera scans 28 live images per second, using Dyson’s Gap Optical Targeting technology to identify, track and predict interdental gaps in real time. Within 100 milliseconds of detecting a gap, the toothbrush triggers a targeted burst of mouthrinse to precision-floss the area as you brush.
Furthermore, a specially engineered conical jet delivers broader coverage than traditional needle-type water jets, helping sweep away plaque while operating at a lower pressure designed to be gentler on gums and enamel. Meanwhile, Dyson’s variable sonic oscillation keeps the bristles moving to help prevent the stalling that can occur with conventional sonic toothbrushes.
Its dual-bristle brush head combines firmer inner bristles for surface stains with softer outer bristles for gentle gumline cleaning. The experience is further personalised through the MyDyson app, where users can access live viewing, guided cleaning, coverage mapping and brushing insights.
Developed over six years with 661 Dyson engineers, 30 dental professionals and more than 470,000 dental images used to train its machine-learning system, CameraJet represents a bold new chapter in smart oral care.
