For Chinese New Year 2026, Burberry presents a thoughtful tribute to the Year of the Horse, weaving emotion, heritage, and modernity into a refined capsule collection and cinematic campaign. Fronted by brand ambassadors Chen Kun, Tang Wei, Wu Lei, and Zhang Jingyi, the story unfolds through quiet, intimate moments that celebrate connection and shared anticipation.
Shot in the pulse of Shanghai by director AJ Duan and photographer Anton Gottlob, the hero film captures the poetry of movement during rush hour—where fleeting glances, gentle humour, and warmth surface amid the city’s rhythm, culminating in a long-awaited reunion.
At the heart of the Burberry Year of the Horse (新禧贺岁) Collection is the house’s iconic Knight, reimagined in expressive watercolour and ink. Rendered through metallic embroidery, cross-stitch, and appliqué badges, the motif nods to Burberry’s forward-looking spirit and its historic emblem first introduced in 1901.
The capsule is grounded in auspicious red, from an exclusive red Burberry Check to refined outerwear, scarves, bags, and small leather goods designed for gifting.
Extending the celebration, Burberry’s store windows across Asia Pacific are transformed through a collaboration with de Gournay and Chinese artist Liao Wenjun, honouring the beauty of Xuan paper and the enduring artistry that bridges cultures and generations.
