IKEA takes a step towards helping Malaysians create a more sustainable life at home with the introduction of the Sustainable Living Project. The initiative, which takes place from now until 6 August 2017, is designed to raise awareness on the importance of leading a sustainable lifestyle around the four IKEA sustainability pillars of saving energy, conserving water, reducing & recycling waste and healthier living.

Sustainable Home Tours

To demonstrate how easy and beneficial sustainable living can be, IKEA will be conducting Sustainable Home Tours at IKEA Damansara and IKEA Cheras throughout the campaign period. Interested customers can register and book their Sustainable Home Tour session at IKEA.my/sustainable-living from now until 5 August 2017.

During the tours, participants will be guided on a tour through the interior of a 55 sqm home that showcases IKEA home furnishing ideas and solutions. They can also pick up tips and tricks which can help them save over RM3,000 a year.

Malaysian families with a passion for sustainable living are also encouraged to register their interest at IKEA.my/sustainable-living for the opportunity to participate in the Sustainable Living Project. Three families will then be chosen, and receive professional consultation and IKEA products worth up to RM8,000 per household to create a more sustainable life in their own homes. Over the next four month, these families will work closely with IKEA Sustainability Consultants to effect positive change in their everyday lives.

Exchanges can be made multiple times and each IKEA FAMILY member can redeem up to 3,000 IKEA FAMILY points during the campaign period.

Members of the public who have yet to register as an IKEA FAMILY member are encouraged to do so to make the most of the ongoing campaign. Registration is easy and free for everyone. Customers simply need to register at the FAMILY kiosk in any of the IKEA stores or online at IKEA.my/FAMILY/register.
