The vibrancy of Christmas returns to Suria KLCC with the appearance of the tallest Christmas tree in Malaysia along with goodies worth more than half a million ringgit for shoppers to end the year on a high.
The Christmas Shoppers’ Reward Programme rewards those who spend at least RM500 in one receipt from any specialty store, to stand a chance to win Suria KLCC shopping vouchers worth RM5,000. A total of 76 lucky winners will be picked from now until December 26. Those who spend at least RM1,500 in two receipts will be instantly rewarded with RM100 worth of shopping vouchers, while stocks last.
Shoppers can browse in a safe and secure environment and enjoy the Christmas decorations, with the Centre Court transformed into a magical wonderland featuring ‘The Polar Express’. Here, families can wander around the classic train station complete with a life-sized train replica and take all the pictures they like at all our Instagrammable spots, making excellent photo additions to their Instagram or download Suria KLCC’s Christmas-themed AR filters, which includes a moving Suria KLCC Polar Express Train Station as its background, complete with snowflakes and beauty filter effects.
Families that want to ride on our exclusive trains can visit Level 1 of Ramlee Mall as the area has been turned into a mini train station complete with a kid’s train ride that goes for RM8 per ticket, with the proceeds going to the medical frontliners at Hospital Kuala Lumpur as part of our corporate social responsibility activities.
As you stroll around our mall, you may also have a chance to meet Santa and his assistant as they make their appearance at Santa’s Cottage on weekends as well as Christmas day itself, where they will happily pose for pictures with shoppers.
More photo opportunities come from the mesmerising aurora motion sensor-based lighting installation at Park Mall entrance. Whenever the motion sensor detects movements in the vicinity of the light globes, the lamps will emit soft pastel glows just like an aurora, lending an interesting twist to the photo ops. Interactivity is also the name of the game at various places, especially the Polar Express Train Station at the Centre Court, which will light up and give out the sound of the traditional train whistle, complete with puffs of steam to bring families back to how train rides are like in the good old days.
Just outside the mall, the famed Tallest Christmas Tree in Malaysia – standing at a whopping 100 ft – returns this year at the Esplanade to greet the crowd with a befitting display of grandeur. It is not just nicely adorned with sparkling Christmas baubles it also features a steam locomotive at the base of the tree for more Instagrammable moments as shoppers enjoy the surroundings of the Esplanade, accompanied by the musical fountain of the KLCC Park.
