Bringing this concept to a reality, adidas Malaysia engaged two local artists, Jun Ong and Jaemy Choong to interpret the brand from a localised point-of-view, giving the duo a creative space to express fashion through the interior and exterior fixtures with a Malaysian twist.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_98397\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-98397\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-98397\" src=\"http:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jun-Ong-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jun-Ong-2.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jun-Ong-2-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jun-Ong-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jun-Ong-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jun-Ong-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jun-Ong-2-631x420.jpg 631w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-98397\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jun Ong<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Jun Ong<\/strong>, a light artist reimagines one of Malaysia\u2019s national symbols, wau bulan onto the adidas Trefoil logo.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;When you gaze at the adidas Trefoil logo from far, it is as though the traditional wau bulan is flying high in the sky. Taking inspiration from adidas\u2019 rich archives, the colourful lighting within the logo represents the shoe laces, truly interpreting adidas as a brand that is always evolving and reinventing itself,\u201d said Jun Ong.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_98396\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-98396\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-98396\" src=\"http:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jaemy-Choong-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jaemy-Choong-4.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jaemy-Choong-4-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jaemy-Choong-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jaemy-Choong-4-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jaemy-Choong-4-696x464.jpg 696w, https:\/\/media.pamper.my\/2020\/06\/Jaemy-Choong-4-631x420.jpg 631w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-98396\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jaemy Choong<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Jaemy Choong<\/strong>, a graphic designer draws his inspiration from Malaysia\u2019s traditional Batik craft, where he incorporates the exquisite floral elements to design the wau bulan and embeds it onto the store\u2019s cash desk and floor rug. With his signature \u2018traditional meet modern\u2019 concept and iconic calligraphy brush technique, Jaemy mashes the authentic Malaysian culture with iconic Originals elements using the vehicle of the concept within the store lounge fixtures, offering a space for intimate interaction with customers and creators alike.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou will notice local traditional art influence twirling with the adidas fashion; you can feel the authentic Malaysian style within the art; you may also spot the brush calligraphy that may or may not look like a familiar word, that\u2019s the thrilling part of my artwork,\u201d said Jaemy Choong.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Paying homage to the Malaysian art and collaborators\u2019 creativity, the customised Batik art print will also be spotted on adidas shopping bags, exclusively available at adidas Originals flagship store in Pavilion KL.
