National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia<\/strong>\u00a0is collaborating with Touch \u2018n Go eWallet<\/strong>\u00a0to launch\u00a0a fundraising effort for NKF’s underprivileged kidney failure patients. This collaboration will allow Touch \u2018n Go eWallet\u00a0users to contribute towards NKF’S cause by just scanning the QR code on NKF’s website and donate their preferred amount \u2212 with all proceeds donated directly to NKF Malaysia.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is essential for dialysis patients to come for dialysis treatment 3 times a week to survive. Every year, NKF needs to raise RM26.5 million to subsidise the cost of dialysis treatments for the 1,712 patients at our 27 dialysis centres nationwide. The majority of NKF\u2019s patients are generally from the lower income group, who cannot afford the higher cost at private medical facilities. So, it is crucial they have access to affordable dialysis treatment,\u201d said Dato’ Dr Zaki Morad Mohamad Zaher, Chairman of NKF Malaysia.<\/p>\n

Touch \u2018n Go eWallet users in Malaysia who are interested in contributing towards the organisation’s efforts for dialysis patients can follow these simple steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Save or take a screenshot of the QR code on NKF’s website<\/li>\n
  2. Tap on the \u201cScan\u201d function in Touch \u2018n Go eWallet<\/li>\n
  3. Tap on \u201cScan from Gallery\u201d<\/li>\n
  4. Select the QR code<\/li>\n
  5. Key in the donation amount you prefer<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
