To continue safeguard Malaysia’s livelihoods during the restricted movement order period, Grab is taking take more steps towards supporting businesses and ensuring Malaysians are able to access even the smallest of necessity via their platform.<\/p>\n

Below are some of the new initiatives by Grab to help those who may be housebound and may not be able to move about as conveniently. <\/span><\/p>\n

1. Introducing GrabFood \u201cTapau\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

GrabFood \u201cTapau” a.k.a \u2018Self-pickup\u2019 is a waitless, cashless (just pay with GrabPay via the app) and contactless \u2018self-pickup\u2019 option to help customers save time and avoid crowds;<\/p>\n

2. Launching Pasar<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pasar is an extension of GrabMart, where they aim to bring our local markets\u2019 freshest produce, poultry, meat and seafood to the Malaysian household. Currently, they are starting with the historic TTDI Market with hope to expand into more markets.<\/p>\n

3. Expanding GrabMart<\/strong><\/p>\n

By March 25th, GrabMart will be available in Penang, JB, Melaka, KK, Kuching and Ipoh, to serve more homes with daily essentials, health products and immunity-boosters, sanitisers and even snacks and beverages.<\/p>\n

4. Offering discounts to boost local businesses<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grab is offering \u2018Free Delivery\u2019, 30% off GrabFood Signatures, and 50% off GrabMart\u2019s health essentials. With this, they hope to drive more income opportunity to both merchants and delivery partners.<\/p>\n

5. Creating new income opportunities for ride-hailing drivers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just as the nation\u2019s delivery networks are strained by a spike in deliveries, a steep drop in the need for ride-hailing meant they needed to create new opportunities for their nation\u2019s driver-partners. By Day#2 MCO, Grab has already deployed tens of thousands of drivers nationwide to provide the highest levels of reliability for Food, Mart and Delivery customers.<\/p>\n
