UNIQLO Malaysia will be releasing UNIQLO\u00a0x\u00a0Fugeelah Social Project collection through\u00a0a collaborative\u00a0partnership with Fugeelah, a brand founded and conceptualized by former\u00a0beauty queen and child\u2019s rights advocate Deborah Henry, to\u00a0raise funds for Fugee School, a school for refugee children and adolescents.<\/p>\n

The special edition collection features five T-shirt designs\u00a0created by\u00a0Fugee School students and will be sold online via UNIQLO’s website<\/a>\u00a0starting July 20th at RM59.90 each. 100% of the proceeds will be channeled to Fugee School to fund the children’s education.<\/p>\n

The global clothing chain is known to be a strong advocate for refugees and has been engaged in numerous efforts to help and support refugees worldwide. Since 2001, UNIQLO has donated approximately 20\u00a0million pre-loved items to refugees and people in need through its partnership with\u00a0the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Not only that, UNIQLO also employs refugees\u00a0at its stores in Japan and Europe with plans to increase the number of refugees hired worldwide.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very happy to partner with Fugeelah in enabling its children to produce creative merchandise as a sustainable way to nurture this noble effort of providing care for the marginalised community. We are confident that this will be a long term collaboration that will not only enrich these children but also the contributors who are supporting this cause\u201d said a UNIQLO spokesperson.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Fugeelah team is very excited about this T-shirt collaboration with UNIQLO, a global brand that stands with refugees. Our Fugee School students loved creating the artwork and seeing their designs come to life, and we believe this is a great opportunity to create awareness about the struggles of refugees. We look forward to seeing our t-shirts on the streets\u201d said Deborah Henry, Founder of Fugeelah.<\/p>\n

Fugee School\u00a0not only provides education and shelter for the community but also help the kids to realize their talents and skills and nurture their love for art. Through Fugeelah, Deborah hopes to empower refugee children to eventually\u00a0pursue their dreams to a better future.<\/p>\n
