H&M Studio\u00a0is set to make\u00a0a comeback at Paris Fashion Week this year, this time to showcase\u00a0its Spring Summer 2018 collection at the\u00a0Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs on rue de Rivoli.\u00a0The “see now, buy now” collection will feature clothing, shoes and accessories that dabbles\u00a0with minimal Japanase and quiet grace codes and will be available for online purchase right after the show on February 28th and in selected store nationwide from March 1st onwards.<\/p>\n

In line with its Japanese theme, H&M will be sponsoring a\u00a0huge exhibition about Japan at\u00a0the Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs. The exhibition, a celebration of\u00a0150 years of cultural exchange between France and Japan as well as an exploration of Japan’s influence in Western culture, will be open to public by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs is such a beautiful, iconic venue and it\u2019s wonderful timing that we have the opportunity to show H&M Studio in a place that will later host a major art exhibition of Japan, which greatly influenced our S\/S 2018 collection. We\u2019re also very happy to be sponsoring the exhibition, which no doubt will delve into the beauty and design sensibility of Japan,\u201d said Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M\u2019s Design Director.<\/p>\n

To tease us of what’s to come, H&M has released the SS18 lookbook images starring supermodels\u00a0Saskia de Brauw and Clement Chabernaud alongside budding star\u00a0Shanelle Nyasiase. Both women’s and men’s lines played around with clean silhouettes toned down with\u00a0modern, laidback vibes and a bit of formalwear\u00a0nuances. For ladies,\u00a0head-to-toe prints and brights are in full bloom, flowing from\u00a0full-length dresses, easy tunics worn over trousers, utilitarian tailoring and statement knits. Menswear, on the other hand, feature mainly classic pieces like\u00a0tailored jacket, shirts and crewneck jumper in unexpected<\/p>\n

Both womenswear and menswear feature clean silhouettes with a relaxed vibe and have a touch of workwear influence. The womenswear focuses on head-to-toe prints and bright colours in the form of flowing full-length dresses, easy tunics worn over trousers, utilitarian tailoring and statement knits. Meanwhile, the menswear elevates classic pieces such as the tailored jacket, shirting and the crewneck jumper by playing around with silhouettes, colour and luxe fabrications.<\/p>\n
