Hosted by Seth Meyers, the 75th Golden Globes Awards gathered Hollywood biggest stars from television to film. Actresses ditched the usual colourful attires for black dresses\u00a0in support of the Time’s Up movement, an organization formed\u00a0by women in entertainment advocating victims of sexual assault and harassment.\u00a0Most actors wore Time’s Up pins, some also opted for black shirts to go with their suits – showing solidarity in combating sexual harassment in a workplace.<\/p>\n

Actresses like\u00a0<\/strong>Emma Stone,\u00a0Meryl Streep, Susan Sarandon and\u00a0Laura Dern even brought inspiring activists as their dates for the evening.\u00a0Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri<\/em>\u00a0took home a big win with\u00a0Best Motion Picture, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor Awards in the drama categories while Greta\u00a0Gerwig\u2019s\u00a0Lady Bird\u00a0<\/em>shined with two wins –\u00a0Best Motion Picture (Musical\/Comedy) and Best Actress (Musical\/Comedy).<\/p>\n

Oprah Winfrey was also honoured with the\u00a0Cecil B. DeMille Award\u00a0for life achievement from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, making history as the first\u00a0African-American woman to do so.<\/p>\n
