Coach recently announces its global advertising campaign for Spring 2018 with artist Keith Haring’s much-loved illustrations at the heart of the season’s offering. Bold, offbeat and youthful, the campaign shot by Steven Meisel portrays the grit and glam of\u00a0New York City.<\/p>\n

With Haring’s democratic and accessible take on art, naturally Coach’s remarkable leathers act like natural canvas to Haring’s recognizable graphics. A certain tomboyish femininity materialized in the women’s ready-to-wear collection particularly with\u00a0antiqued crystals on sheer tees, satin bomber jackets with rose gold rivets and silk and lacetrimmed slip dresses that razzle-dazzle. Leather goods, shearling and Western booties are incorporated to upscale the nostalgic ethos.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Keith Haring graphics are abandoned throughout men’s relaxed collection with occasional Hawaiian prints in outerwear. Highlights include soft suede jackets, key bags of the season – the Bleecker backpack and Metropolitan Portfolio and, for women\u2019s, the Camera Bag and the Mailbox – a re-edition of an archival Coach style first introduced in 1972.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe further extension into ready-to-wear this season has been very much inspired by our Coach girl gang\u2014the way that they wear, party and live in our clothes,\u201d says Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. \u201cI love that sort of undone, unprecious glamour and sensuality\u2014it feels very true to the house.\u201d<\/p>\n

The house is also introducing a new Spring addition – the Signature –\u00a0an iconic Coach pattern remixed for the modern girl and guy with a nostalgic feel – juxtaposed with Keith Haring\u2019s artwork, attitude packed Tea Rose rivets and bold hardware.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Coach Signature, I liked the idea of customizing it and making it into a canvas for something really personal,\u201d said Vevers. \u201cWe\u2019ve taken the familiar and subverted it with a downtown attitude\u2014the unexpected juxtaposition feels very much for today.\u201d<\/p>\n
