According to celebrity esthetician Renee Rouleau, blackheads are large, open pores containing hardened sebum, or oil, that has oxidized from the air causing it to turn dark gray in colour. If the affected skin is properly softened, it should be fairly easy to remove a blackhead.<\/p>\n
