It happens when the body cannot produce or properly use insulin, a hormone needed for glucose metabolism. Diabetes can affect every organ, blood vessels and nerves can become damaged, leading to heart disease, kidney failure, blindness and other complications.<\/p>\n<p>In order to avoid such disease, we should try to cut out sugars from our daily intake of a meal no matter what. Although we know it is hard to resist ice creams, cakes, and other sugary foods, but there are a few easy ways to cut out sugars, and it is not that hard after all.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, avoid flavoured yogurt. Most of the yogurt has just as much sugar if you read properly in the ingredient list. Instead, try to make your own fruit yogurt. Buy or blend fruits that you like with plain Greek yogurt. We know that granola bars are the \u2018healthier\u2019\u00a0 options of breakfast or on-the-go energy bars that you can easily grab in any supermarket. However, if the next time you want to buy, read the ingredient list and skip those with sweeteners. Try to opt for a mix of unsalted nuts.<\/p>\n<p>If you are craving for ice cream, make your own version of ice cream instead. Just make ahead on Friday night and indulge your homemade ice cream on weekend family time. It is as easy as pureeing frozen bananas.<\/p>\n<p>We must say we love chocolate so much, and we know you do too! If your sugar addiction comes in the form of chocolate habit, then switch to dark chocolate. It is better for your heart health and overall health as compared to white chocolate and milk chocolate.
