Royal Selangor is ushering in the Year of the Rooster with a collection featuring the tenth animal in the Chinese zodiac and special edition gold plated Fu, Lu and Shou figurines.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the collection is the Year of the Rooster plaque with a limited edition of only 1,000 globally. Engraved with a lyrical poem that alludes to the arrival of prosperity and wealth in the New Year, the plaque features a rooster (which embellished in 24k gold) against a backdrop of lush peony flowers which signify wealth and honour.<\/p>\n

The collection also features a contemporary interpretation of the rooster bowl, inspired by its ceramic counterparts which are popular in Southern China. Adorned with the motif of a rooster, banana plant and peony flower, the traditional rooster bowl symbolises aspirations for wealth and prosperity.<\/p>\n

Completing the collection is an elegant rooster figurine and a pair of gold plated pewter rooster chopsticks rest.\u00a0 As with the other items in this collection, the set makes a great gift for Chinese New Year.<\/p>\n

\"fulushou_gold\"Fu, Lu and Shou are the presence of the three auspicious stars on earth that bring luck, longevity and prosperity, according to Chinese folklore and customs. The Three Stars of Fu, Lu and Shou are oval in shape, inspired by the concept of \u2018roundness\u2019 at the core of traditional Chinese culture, echoing the unending cycle of the seasonal changes and natural rhythm of the universe.
