Capricciosa – Malaysia’s First Halal Certified Italian Restaurant Chain<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Capricciosa<\/strong>, the Halal family-style Italian restaurant is now open\u00a0at the newly renovated Sunway Putra Mall,\u00a0which is their\u00a0third outlet after\u00a0<\/em>Sunway Pyramid and Pavilion KL.<\/em> This new outlet occupies an area of 2,200 sq.ft. which is able to accommodate 120 seats, including 80 on the platform and 40 at the alfresco area.<\/p>\n

The new outlet was officially launched\u00a0yesterday\u00a0by Dr. Jeffrey Goh, Group CEO of Capricciosa Malaysia<\/em>, Mrs. Keiko Honda, CEO of Capricciosa Japan and wife of the late founder<\/em>, Mr. Katsuya Negishi, Director of\u00a0Capricciosa Japan<\/em>, Representative of Sunway Putra Mall and Ustaz Zulkiefli Mohammad, Information Secretary of the Malaysian Islamic Consumers Association.<\/em><\/p>\n

The\u00a0VIPs were invited to add in key and secret ingredients such as garlic, onions and tomatoes to Capricciosa<\/strong>\u2019s famous signature sauce in\u00a0a big pot\u00a0and significantly gave it a good stir!<\/p>\n

The new outlet in Sunway Putra Mall serves the same menu as the other two outlets in Sunway Pyramid and Pavilion KL, such as their ever popular sharing\u00a0platters Ocean Madness, Carnivore Platter and Ultimate Surf and Turf. These sharing platters which\u00a0are served\u00a0with the signature Ultimate Rice Croquette and Capri Superstar Pasta are suitable for\u00a0both seafood and meat lovers.<\/p>\n

A variety of 11 pizzas are also available at the new outlet. Dig into the Capriciossa, a beefy pizza with mushrooms and bell peppers on top and for cheese devotees, the Quattro Formaggi which comes with 4 kinds of cheese. For a variety, patrons can place orders of “Half & Half”, a choice of two flavors on one pizza. In additional, there are over 60 specialty dishes ranging from poultry to seafood, steaks to lamb shanks and even lobsters to choose from. To ensure the best quality, dishes are only prepared upon order.<\/p>\n

“Sunway Putra Mall is the perfect and strategic fit for the on-going growth of\u00a0Capricciosa<\/strong> in view of its extraordinary tourist traffic and the diverse demographics”, said\u00a0Dr. Jeffrey Goh. “We look forward to continue the growth exponentially with our expansions plans which includes Da:Men USJ in Oct this year and Sunway Velocity in 2016.”<\/p>\n

Mrs. Honda said, she hopes that the success of\u00a0Capricciosa<\/strong> Malaysia in getting\u00a0Halal certification will help to pave ways for Capricciosa<\/strong>\u00a0to penetrate to other Muslim markets in future.<\/p>\n

During the launch, guests were invited to take part in a pizza making contest. They were in teams of three to try their hands to roll out a pizza dough and create their very own version of a Capricciosa<\/strong> Pizza. The friendly competition was judged by Dr. Jeffrey Goh, Mrs. Keiko Honda, and Mr. Katsuya Negishi.\u00ad<\/p>\n

The winning pizza was named \u20181MPB\u2019 and members of the winning team each walked away with a RM100 voucher to dine at Capricciosa. \u201cIt was a tough decision with all the creations being extremely unique but in the end the \u20181MPB\u2019 pizza stood out with its flavour and depth”, said the judges.<\/p>\n

Guests were\u00a0also delighted with Capricciosa<\/strong>\u2019s mouth-watering dishes such as\u00a0Ocean Madness, one of the ever popular trio of sharing platters with Carnivore Platter and Ultimate Surf and Turf being the other two on the menu.<\/p>\n
