Good News to All Malaysian!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body-text\">This would be a good news for most Malaysian\u00a0who are fans of <strong>spicy foods<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text\">According to the New York Times, a British Medical Journal study finds that eating <strong>spicy food<\/strong> is associated with a reduced risk for death. Researchers followed more than 485,000 Chinese in reasonable health\u00a0for an average of more than seven years, studying their well-being and the types of food they ate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pamper.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/chili-pepper.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2810 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pamper.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/chili-pepper.jpg\" alt=\"chili-pepper\" width=\"446\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pamper.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/chili-pepper.jpg 446w, https:\/\/www.pamper.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/chili-pepper-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.pamper.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/chili-pepper-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pamper.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/chili-pepper-80x60.jpg 80w, https:\/\/www.pamper.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/chili-pepper-265x198.jpg 265w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><\/a>The researchers found that compared with eating hot food, mainly chili peppers, less than once a week, having it once or twice a week resulted in a 10 percent reduced overall risk for death. Consuming spicy food six to seven times a week reduced the risk by 14 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text\">The researchers believe this correlation occurs because of the bioactive ingredients\u00a0in hot pepper, and fresh chilies have higher levels of capsaicin (which had been found in other studies to have\u00a0antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects), vitamin C, and other nutrients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text\">Nevertheless, according to co-author, Dr. Lu Qi, an associate professor of nutrition at the Harvard T.H.
