Australian actress Margot Robbie’s latest role, Harley Quinn, requires her to be an unhinged super-villain \u2014 who wears a tiny hotpants and fishnet tights. Therefore when Robbie signed up for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, there was an understanding that there would be an accompanying workout with the role.<\/p>\n

In order to look the part, according to People<\/a>, the blonde beauty worked out with trainer Andie Hecker for three hours a day, every day, for three weeks \u2014 all while shooting the movie at the same time.<\/p>\n

Speaking about how Robbie got into shape for the film, Hecker said in an interview with People<\/a>, “She was a total trooper. It was very satisfying to see her body change into exactly what she wanted it to look like in such a short time.”<\/p>\n

So what exactly was the former The Wolf of Wall Street actress subjected to during this gruelling three-week boot camp?<\/p>\n

All right, here\u2019s the plan.<\/p>\n

Hecker says she sculpted and toned Robbie’s body with a mix of pilates, ballet and more. “We also mix in non-bulking cardio such as jump rope, rebounder and ballet jumps \u2014 which are surprisingly the most challenging form of cardio I\u2019ve ever come across,” Hecker says.<\/p>\n

Hecker emphasised her workout that especially targets the abs and glutes, given that these two body parts were constantly seeing the sun in the film.<\/p>\n

“We did a lot of heavy-weighted, low reps of arabesque pulls hooked up to resistance pulleys, as well as arabesque lifts with heavy ankle weights in order to build and lift the butt,\u201d Hecker recounts. “We also did a ton of side series outer thigh work, targeting outer glutes with high reps and low weights, to pull those muscles in and create a beautiful line from the waist to the upper thigh.”<\/p>\n

To achieve\u00a0a similar shape to Harley Quinn, Hacker recommends people to do exchangeable\u00a0exercise like planks.\u00a0Hecker said planks works multiple parts of the body and tones important muscles.<\/p>\n
