UNIQLO Malaysia recently conducted its first large scale Corporate Social Responsibility distribution of used clothing to refugees at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Kuala Lumpur, in coincide with World Refugee Day.<\/p>\n

A total of 28,700 items collected from Malaysia and Singapore were donated to 2,210 refugees over a four-day period. In collaboration with UNHCR, the initiative is part of UNIQLO\u2019s “10 Million Ways to HELP”<\/strong> project which aims to clothe a growing number of refugees worldwide.<\/p>\n

“10 Million Ways to HELP” is an extension of the All-Product Recycle Initiative first launched by the brand’s company, Fast Retailing in 2006, to expand clothing aid to the growing population of refugees and displaced people around the world. The items collected are delivered to refugees through the UNHCR, with which Fast Retailing has a global partnership, together with international NGOs.<\/p>\n
