Tropicana City Mall is currently housing\u00a0a large indoor planting bed from June 3 \u2013 12 in attempt to create awareness on Environmental Sustainability and inspire the community to take action and plant more tress to conserve and safe the environment so that our children can enjoy a greener and more sustainable environment.<\/p>\n
Children, youths and the people alike will get to learn the correct methods of planting in cities during this ten-day activity. For just RM30, participants will be given two plants – one to be planted at the plant bed in Tropicana City Mall, and the other to continue planting and farming journey at home.<\/p>\n(From left) Joyce Lee, Deputy General Manager, Baba; Rachel Goey, Brand Manager, Spritzer; Chris Chia, Marcom Manager, Tropicana City Mall; Jim Hong, Executive Director of Sunzen Group; Matthias Gelber, Project Advisor of ‘My City. My Farm 2016’; Camil Gereis; Business Development and Affairs Manager for MENA Region, Australian Business Chamber; Naila Mazzucco, Trade Commissioner, Malaysia at Australian Trade and Investment Commission; Professor Chris Ma, Managing Director of The Woods International; Emilion Teow; Managing Partner, Faster Advertising Group; Thomas Lee, General Manager of MBG Fruits Sdn Bhd; Melvin Ong, Executive Director of Faster Advertising Group; Lim Swee Keat, CEO of Jasmine Food Corporation; and Chau Chun Seng, Director of Riumz Sdn Bhd.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Plants from this campaign will be donated to a local education institute, where the teachers can continue to educate and implement planting habits to the younger generations.<\/p>\n
Good habits needs to be practiced from young, hence My City My Farm 2016 aims to ensure that the future generation understands the importance of environmental conservation as well as their crucial role in preserving the earth for their future and upcoming generations by starting from the habit of planting.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Melvin Ong, Executive Director of Faster Advertising Group mentioned that it is our task and obligation to hand down an undiminished environment to the next generation, so that they can live comfortably, enjoy a healthier living, as well as thriving as prosperous as we are currently.<\/p>\n
This is one of the main reasons My City My Farm 2016 was organized as the campaign announced that our environment can only be preserved and sustained with an awareness that leads to action, stemmed from the right education and the nurturing of planting and farming habits.<\/p>\n
My City My Farm 2016 strongly encourage the younger generation to be part of this initiative and to take ownership along with the adults to ensure we pass on not just a liveable environment, but one that is sustainable and fruitful.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\nNotable local celebrities and personalities joined in the fun at the launch of \u2018My City \u2022 My Farm 2016\u2019.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Aside from kids, the campaign\u2019s goal is to also inspire everyone to get down and dirty and start planting as little initiatives from everyone will definitely bring a huge impact to the environment and Mother Earth.<\/p>\n
