Survey reveals 81% of women in Malaysia have a dedicated designer shoe fund, spending up\u00a0<\/strong>to RM130,000 on shoes in their lifetime<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The survey finds 81% of Malaysian women\u00a0spending an average of two weeks a year looking for their sole mates. The survey of 1,000\u00a0women across Malaysia & Singapore was commissioned by Chic Outlet Shopping\u00ae, the\u00a0Collection of nine shopping Villages across Europe in celebration of their Spring shoe campaign\u00a0\u201cThe Secret of Shoes\u201d, dedicated to the craftsmanship and memories that the designer heel\u00a0holds for many of us.<\/p>\n

Showing their appetite for a designer purchase, 77% of respondents admitted to topping up a secret designer shoe fund every month, saving up to RM1,200. Over a lifetime, the survey indicates women in Malaysia spend up to RM130,000, with RM85,000 reserved for designer shoes.<\/p>\n

One in four respondees buy several pairs of the same\u00a0shoe or one in every colour once they’ve found their perfect pair.\u00a0 In stark contrast, 87% admit\u00a0to owning shoes they\u2019ve worn less than five times, with one in five owning shoes they\u2019ve never\u00a0worn at all.<\/p>\n

60% of women\u00a0admit to going to great lengths to travel with their new purchases. While 1 in 4 have bought an\u00a0extra suitcase to bring their new shoes home and even confess to wearing a pair of designer\u00a0shoes on the plane to save on luggage allowance.<\/p>\n

The survey also reveals over a\u00a0third of women in Malaysia buy shoes to celebrate a success, while 40% rush out to buy a pair\u00a0of shoes when their pay cheque arrives.\u00a0While nearly one in three women in Malaysia wear up to\u00a0a two inch heel, nearly half go higher for a job interview, while 36% increase their height to\u00a0supermodel proportions for a date. Is it worth it? Yes. A quarter of respondents admit to\u00a0forming their first impression of someone based on their shoes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
