Porsche Design showcased its\u00a0new Sporty Elegant Designer Timepieces –\u00a0new 1919 Eternity<\/strong>,\u00a01919 Eternity Black Edition<\/strong> and 1919 Chronotimer<\/strong>\u00a0at Baselworld 2016, which was in line with\u00a0its new positioning strategy to offer premium timepieces with the right mix of sporty elegance, function,\u00a0technological innovation, and with an attractive price-quality ratio.<\/p>\n

Executed in a well\u2011balanced mix of titanium and real alligator leather strap, gray\u2011green color of the\u00a0face and bronzed watch case, the “1919 Datetimer Eternity” pays tribute to the classic Porsche 356 by adopting the puristic clear lines and the functional aesthetics of the\u00a0legendary Porsche 356\u00a0and\u00a0conveying the elegance of the 1950s which are\u00a0perfectly embodied the\u00a0Porsche heritage.<\/p>\n

The 1919 Eternity Black Edition<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The “1919 Datetimer Eternity” transfers the functionality of modern architecture to the design of high\u2011end timepieces. The characteristic openings at the lugs and the transition to\u00a0the precious alligator leather strap add a special lightness to the puristic aesthetics.<\/p>\n

The minimalistic\u00a0design of the dial focuses the eye on the essentials of time and date. The new “1919 Datetimer Eternity Black Edition” adds four models in titanium and black, typical for\u00a0Porsche Design and a reference to the company’s iconic heritage.<\/p>\n

The 1919 Chronotimer<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With the introduction of the “1919 Chronotimer”, Porsche Design creates an aesthetic link\u00a0between architectural design, sporty elegance, and performance.\u00a0The watch is powered by\u00a0the mechanical Selitta SW 500 movement with a power reserve of 48 hours and a date\u00a0window at 4 o’clock. The black\u2011tinted sapphire crystal case back allows for a view of the\u00a0exclusive, energy\u2011optimized Porsche Design Icon rotor. The diameter of the case is 42\u00a0millimeters. The “1919 Chronotimer” is available in the four typical Porsche Design variations\u00a0in pure or black titanium carbide coating, with either a titanium or rubber strap.<\/p>\n
