If there is one key beauty accessory for this spring then it is dewy, glowing skin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spring\/Summer 2016 ready to wear shows consistently pushed a barefaced, natural makeup look, such as the sweet and angelic vibe at Christian Dior, and the low-key, ‘anti selfie’ vibe seen at Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are several tricks to recreating that luminous catwalk finish when it comes to applying your makeup at home. At Dior, the models wore a dewy-finish foundation with a dab of blusher placed high on the cheekbone, to create the impression of a natural flush, while at Opening Ceremony, makeup artist James Boehmer prepped the skin and then applied Nars Triple X Lipgloss to the mouth, the bridge of the nose, the high points of the cheekbones and the eyelids for a particularly dewy look.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Celebrity beauty artist Lisa Eldridge<\/a>\u00a0points out that in order to achieve the natural look, foundation should be viewed as a product to even out the skin tone and calm down redness rather than provide total coverage for every blemish. She recommends using a tinted moisturizer for a light coverage, before pinpointing trouble areas with a thick, heavy-duty concealer. A tiny amount of stick foundation, liquid foundation or hot poured concealer applied with an eyeliner brush or a flat synthetic eye brush will do all the hard work where necessary, without covering areas of the skin that don’t need it. Set with a light powder to make sure the concealer stays in place.<\/p>\n
