Tokyo Street at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is celebrating its 13th anniversary with the vibrant \u2018Maneki Neko Matsuri\u2019 campaign, running until August 13.<\/strong> This month-long celebration immerses visitors in kawaii culture and traditional Japanese charm, featuring maneki neko-themed stores, matcha treats, and delightful sweet treats.<\/p>\n

The maneki neko, or “lucky cat,” is central to the festivities, symbolizing good luck and prosperity. Visitors can explore maneki neko-themed decorations and take selfies with a six-foot-tall statue. Malaysian artist Chun Yu\u2019s \u2018Maneki Neko Matsuri\u2019 art exhibition adds a playful touch with colorful lanterns, floor stickers, flags, and figurines. Interactive workshops include lucky cat clay making, felt bag crafting, and painting sessions. Performances, such as FlyHigh Orchestra on July 27 and maneki neko mascot shows, add to the excitement.<\/p>\n

Shoppers spending a minimum of RM130 at Tokyo Street stores can spin the maneki neko gachapon machine for special gifts. Those spending RM200 at Tokyo Street or RM300 at specialty stores will receive a cute maneki neko coaster. Additionally, a \u2018Spend & Win\u2019 lucky draw offers a chance to win a Casio watch or a Japanese-inspired scented candle by spending RM130 in a single receipt and uploading it to the Pavilion KL mobile app.<\/p>\n

Tokyo Street offers a portal to the streets of Tokyo with shops like Koun Na Neko, Haru To Natsu, and culinary delights from Ichi Zen Japanese Restaurant and Tokyo Teppan. Bubu K\u014db\u014d introduces the Japanese mont blanc dessert, and Matcha Hero Kyoto satisfies matcha cravings with ice cream and drinks.
