\"Get<\/a>I’m a noob at it (a newbie) and right around the time I wrote that article, was when I had my first experience with the Beauty Blender. Recently, I had to give it a proper wash but the money-saving side of me wasn’t prepared to spend on purchasing a wash specifically for the Beauty Blender. I thought, there has to be ways to wash this – it’s just like washing a make-up brush, is it not?<\/p>\n

Be sure to wash your sponge regularly,<\/strong> we’re applying that to our face many times a week and you want to be sure you aren’t giving bacteria and germs an avenue to seep into your pores and eventually cause you breakouts.<\/p>\n

A troll through the interest has unveiled a few great DIY tips to washing the Beauty Blender and I thought I’ll share them with you. I’ve tried all of them and they work – though I can’t be sure if this does any product damage or if it will in long-term cause the deterioration of the Beauty Blender. But if you’re like me, and you’re pretty sure baby soap can’t do THAT much harm, then read on.<\/p>\n

Option 1: Wash with baby washing soap<\/h3>\n

If you have nieces\/nephews\/kids of your own, then you would most definitely have baby wash at your easy disposal. Johnson’s has a whole range of them if you need to buy one. I do this over the sink and spend a couple of minutes at this – it may take a bit of patience but if you find joy in seeing makeup wash off your sponge, then you’ll love this.<\/p>\n

At the sink, saturate your sponge with water and give it a couple of wrings to remove whatever excess product you might have. Apply the baby wash onto your palm OR the areas that are most stained with makeup product (not all over) and rub the sponge in a circular motion around the palm of your hand, apply more water if you need to. You’ll notice your foundation basically seeping out of the sponge and onto your palm, keep doing this until you no longer see any foundation oozing out. You can then do a quick wash around the whole sponge just to make sure there isn’t any more grime, rinse and wring. Leave to dry.<\/p>\n
