Tirta Empul temple is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring, Bali. Tirta Empul also means ‘holy water spring’ which is the name of a water source located within the temple. Here, visitors will first come upon lush gardens and pathways adorned with statues and tropical plants that lead to its entrance.

3. Ubud Traditional Art Market

Guide-to-Ubud-Markets

Ubud Art Market also locally referred to as “Pasar Seni Ubud” is located opposite of the Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace and it is open daily. At there, you can find beautiful silk scarves, lightweight shirts, handmade woven bags, baskets, hats and many other hand-crafted goods.

4. Tegallalang Rice Terraces

We have been there before and we think this is the must-go! Ubud is famous for its scenic expanses of rice fields, so just drive up to the north from main Ubud centre and enjoy the view. There is also some restaurant along the roadside for restaurants with great views and foods.

5. Ubud Monkey Forest

As Ubud Monkey Forest is one of Bali’s several grey long-tailed macaque-inhabited forests, you need to witness it by yourself. However, take good care of your belongings and do bring some bread for feeding.
